AUGUSTA COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY SPRING MEETING 2016

Norman Scott author of A River of Iron, a history of local iron works in western Virginia, will be the featured speaker at this year’s Spring Meeting. He will discuss the history and importance of local iron works, such as Mt. Torry Furnace near Sherando, to the county’s economy and culture.
