Frazier Family Cemetery Located on Route 250, South side of the road, back of Lacy Hevener's house, about 200 feet from the road, 1/10 mile of the intersection with Route 736. It is surrounded by a cement wall, not too overgrown, about 35 feet by 35 feet. Frazier, James A. Died of a hard fever at Camp Bartow in Pocahuntas Co. Va. on the morning of the 8th of October 1861 James A. Fraizer in the 29th year of his age. He was a member of the Churchville Calvary. Devotion to his country and devotion to his God marked all his actions. He laid down his life a willing sacrifice for the one and yeilded up his spirit without spot or blemish to the other. Frazier, James A. Born at Amraugh Ireland Aug. 10, 1786. Imigrated to America in 1800. Died at Jennings Gap, Va. Jan. 22 1853 aged 72 yeras 5 months. For over half a century he prosecuted honorably and with success his business as a merchant in his adopted state. His children place this stone in his memory.
