Name of Cemetery: Unknown Location: Beverley Manor District- From Staunton on U.S. 11 south of Mint Spring exit (654) of U.S. 81 turn left onto VA. 800 for 0.4 mile to a point where the road makes a 90 degree turn to the left running along side of U.S. 81 from a point approximately 50 yds. from the turn in the driveway into the property owned by Mr. Jimmy Wright. In a straight line approximately 300 yds. from this point, past the right-hand side of a white frame house, is the cemetery. To the right of the cemetery approximately 150 yds. is a rock quarry, and to the left approximately 150 yds.is VA. 800 from the starting point at U.S. 11. It is said that the cemetery was fenced in once with a white board fence, but the is no evidence of this now. The size is approximately 50 ft. by 50 ft. The ground has been plowed away from the cemetery and now is slightly raised above the surrounding terrain. Record of Graves: Could only find three headstones and four footstones. Condition of cemetery made it impossible to make a count of graves. It is overgrown with brush, honeysuckle, and small trees. It has a number of goundhog dens, and it is free range for the cattle that may be in the field. Plot of graves was impossible to ascertain. The names on the stones- Abney, Virginia L. b 1807 - d 12 Mar 1871 w/o William A. Abney Clarkson, Minnie B. b 29 Jul 1861 - d 5 Jul 1893 w/o Jo's N. Clarkson Abney, Celestine W. b 13 Sep 1833 - d unreadable One could find more stones if the cemetery was cleaned off.
